Flu Question?

Granddaughter #2 was diagnosed with Flu A yesterday. They said it was too late to give her anything for it. So she is currently quarantined. (she did not have the vaccine) Granddaughter #1 is going stir crazy in the house and wants me to come get her. (she did have vaccine). I did not have the vaccine.

Questions: I was around them two days ago. Was I exposed? Will I be okay going to get #1, or should I stay completely away?

  • You've already been exposed. If you're going to get it, you're going to get it. In addition, you've probably been exposed numerous times just getting out and about.

I think it's fine to go get granddaughter #1

  • Yeah, you're probably right. Thanks!

  • You sound like it is the black plague.   Diagnosed, quarantined.   I heard it takes a week to get the flu.  So you were exposed already.

You might get the flu.  Then you might not.  Why are you worried?
