Does anybody own a roomba?

I just saw it on the QVC channel and it lookes amazing..but does it really work and do the job?

  • My mom has one and loves it, but she does not have carpet, only tile or hardwood floors.

  • My sil had one. She went back to a regular vacuum when it broke, but I didn't ask her why.

  • My inlaws had several. They also do not have carpet. The things kept breaking, probably because they couldn't handle all of the damn dog hair at their house. I wouldn't suggest it if you have small kids... they just want to touch it all the time.
