Why is my 3 year old throwing a tantrum because i won't put her in trouble?

She is acting out and got excited when i said she would be in trouble and i would put her in her room. So i said no you are not in trouble and now she's laying on the floor kicking me asking to be put in her room.

I wasn't going to put her in trouble but she started clawing at my new shoes trying to rip them apart so she is in her room now.

What the hell is going on? Why would a kid WANT to be in trouble?!

  • Yup, I just went and checked on her and she's in her bed. She wanted an excuse to go take a nap?
