What does BEING processed really mean with taxes after looking it up IRS said accepted then complete now its telling me being processed!

  • If you are getting a refund it is being processed, as in they will find your money and pay you. If you owed and paid they are just updating their books. Nothing big.

  • It means sit tight & wait for them to send you your money. :p We did ours on Turbo Tax & got our refund in 2 wks. Hopefully you will get yours soon. :)

  • that happened to me too! mine said "being processed" then it said accepted, now it is "being processed" again. i tried to call them yesterday, was on hold for about 15 minutes just to get transferred and then told that the call volume is too high and hung up on.
