  • A socialist president and congress would have ended our for-profit wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and withdrawn our soldiers from most other places in the world. Obama hasn’t. A Socialist have helped re-energize this nation’s labor movement. Obama hasn’t even enacted the reforms he promised (sorry, according to PolitiFact Obama kept 37 percent of his promises.) A Socialist would have demanded improved Medicare for all. Obama won’t. Socialists would not have bailed out the banks and other corporations as Obama has. Instead, they would have bought them (and for a much cheaper price) and turned their control over to the public and our communities rather than giving them back to the wealthy owners and their CEO’s who caused this "Great Depression" sequel in the first place.
Obama is many things, but a Socialist?? No by any legitimate definition anyway....

  • His policies look more socialistic than they do democratic. I can't see into his heart, so I can't judge his intentions. His bent toward instituting socialistic policies is disturbing to me.

  • I think he has some strong socialist leanings in his policies, but I'm not sure he's a pure socialist.

  • What else do you call it when the government encourages citizens to depend on it for everything from healthcare to cellphones? I'm not sure he is a socialist but this "nanny state" is not good for this country. Citizens should be offended, it's like they (the president and others who are like minded) think that people can't take care of themselves. They are those who need help but let it be within reason but this extent of "help" only encourages more dependence. People need jobs not handouts.
