In some ways it's worse because she's a special ed teacher, so some of her students won't even know to speak up or disagree with her.

Like all jobs, there are good teachers and there are not so good teachers. I have taught in over 50 schools. ( I am an itinerant music teacher and I subbed for 6 years, so I have taught in every school in 2 districts) There are more good, intelligent, dedicated, caring, compassionate teachers than batty, wacko, ignorant ones. The wackos just really stand out. I teach at one school where I have heard the staff say things that really shock me, and I work at another that has a student with 2 mommies, and one of the mommies is a teacher at the school. Everyone knows, no one cares.
