  • Hurricane ( Ivan) , earthquakes, blizzards & fires.

  • Mm sort of.

In 2006 I lived in El Paso Texas and they had a serious flood. The saddest part of this flood was that victims displaced after Hurricane Katrina had their new homes destroyed all over again. Thankfully we didn't have any damage where I was and if I didn't watch the news I would never have known floods were going on by looking out my window.

  • Only if you count living with my family of origin, which was naturally as disastrous as they come.

But seriously, I was in fifth grade when the blizzard of 1982 hit Colorado. Inconvenient, but thankfully nothing worse.

  • Thank goodness, no. We have had two tornadoes that have hit the town above us and the town below us. We have also had a fire that happened to our neigbor right across from us, but luckily all we had was some minor smoke damage.

  • A couple of minor earthquakes, several hurricanes and blizzards (oh my!)

  • We were stuck inside for a while after Mt. St. Helens blew and we had a nice coating of ash to clean up (I remember people wearing bandanas around their nose and mouth when they would go outside). I lived about 22 miles from the epicenter of the Northridge earthquake. I lived in FL during several tropical storms and hurricanes, as well as in Houston when Hurricane Ike came through.

  • Yes, we had a derecho here in S.W. Virginia last June. Power was out for a week at my house, cell towers longer than that.
