Mm sort of.
In 2006 I lived in El Paso Texas and they had a serious flood. The saddest part of this flood was that victims displaced after Hurricane Katrina had their new homes destroyed all over again. Thankfully we didn't have any damage where I was and if I didn't watch the news I would never have known floods were going on by looking out my window.

Thank goodness, no. We have had two tornadoes that have hit the town above us and the town below us. We have also had a fire that happened to our neigbor right across from us, but luckily all we had was some minor smoke damage.
