Real money in junk paper mail - anyone else get them, too?

I've gotten a couple junk mail envelopes recently from some mortgage refinancing company in Utah that has been sending real dollar bills to get some attention. I got these occasionally in the past, too from some school I was thinking of attending. I am loving this free money but was wondering if anyone else got these, too?

This really makes me think twice about trashing junk mail right away.

  • I open all my junk mail. If people want to send me money, address labels, stationary, etc who am I to argue with them. Of course I'm standing over the trash can as I open so what I don't want goes straight in the trash.

  • I've gotten dollar bills but nothing larger. But I'm not knocking it!

  • I've gotten a few dollar bills, and even $5 once from a college I decided not to attend. Free money, what the hell! Not enough to buy much, but it adds up.

  • No, I've never gotten real money in junk mail. I don't usually look at my junk mail though. We get packets of flyers almost every day and they go into the recycling can as I walk into the house.

  • Are you sure it is real money? What would be the point?

  • No I have not but if its real money,(cash only) and not a check I would be happy to have it.

  • Yes, it's real and I've used them and used the verification pens on them (my friend is a banker). They just want to get your attention I guess. I never attended that school but they kept sending me dollars for several weeks.

  • This mortgage refinancer named Russ Brown says he'll send a $10 bill just for calling him. It's not worth the call for me, but if some of you are interested, here's his info:

I guess the marketing company that sends these is based in Utah, my bad.
