Ever heard of someone having 3 working kidneys?

My BIL went in to see how bad his kidney stones were, and they discovered he actually has 3 kidneys! And all are function-able!

  • No, but WOW! Perhaps he can donate the extra one to someone on an organ list. He literally has the gift of life!

  • Three working? No, but my SIL does have a nonfunctioning duplicate kidney on her right side.

  • I have actually heard of this and I also heard that if you have multiple organs, that sometimes one becomes "lazy" so even though you are healthy and functioning normally you should NOT remove the extra organ.
