If hubby made $100,000 a year would you be a SAHM or work?

If your hubby made $100,000 a year and after taxes and all bills and food were paid for the month you had $3000 a month left would you work or stay at home? We have 3 kids who are in school but the youngest is Autistic and has lots of appointments. Hubby is gone for 2 weeks at a time working and home for 2 weeks.

  • I would stay at home, but have some sort of adult interaction scheduled in. I couldn't just immerse myself in my house and family only. I'd go stark-raving mad.

  • I'm a SAHM. Regardless of my dh's income I plan to stay one - unless he loses his job and something drastic happens.

  • He does make that much, and I work full time. I'm not domestic at all and would go nuts staying at home.

  • If I could get a job that I was there to put them on the bus & be there to take them off the bus then yes. I have some ideas of doing just that when my youngest starts regular school. Just to get out & get dressed every day would be good for me. I worked full time for the first 13 years we were married (before kids) & made a lot of money aside from what my DH made. I like the interaction with others too. Maybe even part time.

  • I'd probably still work part-time, take classes, or volunteer somewhere. I can't just be a SAHM.. I go stir-crazy in here.
