Food Poisoning And Breastfeeding!

I got food poisoning last night, and I'm not sure if it's safe to breastfeed my faughter or not. Any adive? (I don't have a pump, but if I HAVE to dump my milk, I can try doing it manually.)

  • food poisioning only effects you... sorry to say.. its like if you got the flu, you can still breast feed... or if you live in a smoggy city.. it only effects you... not the milk.. sorry you got sick, but the nice thing, most cases are over in less than 24 hours. .so dont worry about dumping your milk...

  • Go nurse. No issues. Food poisoning affects YOU only.

  • Stay hydrated. All of the symptoms of food poisoning can dry you out. Get lots of fluids. You should be fine to feed though.

  • ur baby will be fine,but if i was u i would get a pump,and pump extra and freeze it just n case emergincies come up

  • Keep breastfeeding. If you find your supply drops due to getting dehydrated, just nurse a whole bunch to bring it back up.
