How long does a rose last once cut from the rose bush?

My friend gave me a rose for Valentimes Day and I still have it it has not died from Feb 14 to Feb 27.

  • That's a pretty long-;lasting rose!

    I've heard you can make them last longer by cutting the stems with a sharp knife on the diagonal so the water will go in, and repeating the cut every few days. Also I've heard crushing up an aspirin tablet in the water will help; never tried it.

  • Well everyday I would change the water and cut the stem make sure it not in a cool enviroment

  • I heard that Viagra will help it last longer too- but I think that was a joke! :p What you're doing seems to be working, so enjoy it while it lasts. :)
