Is it true or not that having miscarriages takes years off your life?

I have three baby angels and one living child and my mom says I should be satisfied with that an give up because having miscarriages cuts years off your life, is that true? She was an EMT a lon time ago but she's not a doctor so is she just telling me that to scare me?

  • If have been pregnant 6 times all made it to the fith month and one to the sixth, two made it the nine months and lived. I am over 60. Any tramatic event "shortens" our life because it messes with our ability to fight off infections and such. It can affect our will to live.
Do I think it is a true statement that it will shorten your lifespan. No, not in this age.

  • I'm sure the stress, the worry, and the sadness can't be good for you. But to say that a miscarriage takes x amount of years off your life is a stretch.
