Do you have an alarm for your home?

Answer anon if you're worried about privacy or anything. I'm looking at them but they don't seem to be cheap (monthly). Anyone have suggestions?

I think we need a category for misc. or "life."

  • We have a security system. We have it set up for security (windows, doors, glass breakage) and fire monitoring.

We also have 2 dogs, a cat that I know would rip apart anyone trying to hurt DD, and a shotgun...for just in case the screeching alarm didn't detour someone.

    We pay $31.70 a month.

  • We don't have an alarm but we do have security lights that come on if anyone is around the house.

  • My friend stole an alarm system sign from someones yard and put it in her yard. Lol, I live in a decent neighborhood so no. I do have sensor lights though and a nice bat next to my bed. I'm a light sleeper.

  • .40 cal Glock and a cat. I am not joking. When someone will open the screen door my cat will start meowing and loud too! You should hear him when the pizza man knocks on the door!

  • A alarm system here in Flint is worthless. By the time the police show up, the bad guy would have already cooked a meal and watched a movie. I would stay away from ADT alarm systems, I never heard anything good about them.

  • No. I've thought about it, but the people I know who have them seem to have more trouble with false alarms than anything else.

  • Skinny- I hope your friend realizes that people have to pay money for those signs. They're not free. I have to buy a new sign every year

We pay a little less than $30 a month.
