Grandma Mode... What the hell do I do?

The Dr. has ordered a shot for the 5 year old. They think she has pneumonia. Anyway, before the results are back, they want her to go ahead and get this shot. Ugh, that means I have to take her there. I just got her all settled in for her nap. How the heck do I explain to her that we have to go to the Dr. and get a shot??? OMG, I will be the worst grandma in the world.

  • Poor thing. I had to go that once and hated every minute of it. Wallmart is a great idea! Hang in there mavi. I hope she feels better soon.

  • I'd just tell her. Give her some motrin or tylenol before you go, it might help ease the pain. Maybe promise her some ice cream or something? I don't know, my kids don't like shots, but they've always been pretty good about getting them without a lot of fuss.

  • Good thing about being a grandma. You can bring her to get her shot. then make her feel better buy bringing her out for ice cream and buy her a couple of toys. Make the shot part a lot better.
