Where are places I can buy a garment bag?

We're going on an extended trip next week and need a garment bag for some of our clothes. I don't want a luggage set, I have one of those. I'm just looking for a bag to hang my family's taekwondo uniforms in to keep them looking neat and tidy.

I tried and do NOT want to spend hundreds of dollars on one.

  • Just put em neatly in a laundry basket and cover with a garbage bag.

  • I just saw 2 of them at Goodwill yesterday
    Look at your local store

  • I know they usually come free in a luggage set. Even cheap luggage sets like walmart. Are you flying? That will count as a carry on. You might do better to just pack them and steam/iron them when you get there. (I don't know if you can iron those?)

  • I would try Penny's or Sears for something like that.

  • Try Walmart or Target

  • I'd try the luggage department at Macy's (or another department store with a comprehensive luggage department.) That, or a luggage store.

  • I would wrap them in something like a towel or plastic so they don't get dirty and gently lay them across the rest of the luggage. You could easily put them on hangers then cover with an outdoor trash bag or 2.

  • I've seen really nice luggage (including garment bag style) for cheap money at Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Homegoods.

•!!!  Here is a Vera Bradley one currently bidding at $15

Course, you add shipping, etc. but still cheaper than retail

Just put in "garment bag" in the search parameters - there are quite a few afforable ones in good shape on that site.
