Want a funny? My husband and I were both rolling,

Our 8 year old has asperger's, and I was just answering another question, I said- How do you spell athelete, my 8 year old yelled A-S-S-!
Maybe he is getting a sense of humor? IDK first time in his life he said something funny on purpose, but meanwhile
athelete still looks spelled wrong to me.
LOL, Happy Friday all, I am on top of the world right now!

Kudos on the sense of humor. I applaud my son for sarcasm because he's always so literal

  • Yep, my son is VERY sarcastic. But with me as his mother, I guess it was bound to happen. Most people assume because he has autism, he doesn't know what he is saying, but he knows VERY well what he is saying. It just makes him do it more when people let him get away with it because they assume he isn't doing it on purpose. Serves them right, I guess.

  • Lol, It took a long time before my aspie got a sence of humor. Probably not until his middle teens. It's still sometimes hard to tell if he's trying to be funny.
