Sick child

he was fine yesterday. this morning he woke up saying he was thirsty, had a sip of water, and fall asleep. woke up later, throw up, and is still slepping 4.5hrs after it. he still wants to sleep, and will probably refuse all meals. I have pediatyle ready, crackers, chicken broth (in plans). what should i do? no temp. just sleeping and saying he's tiered. i sound so dumb. i want to help him but is it ok if he sleeps for half of a day or even more of it? after a day i'd call his ped. shall i try to play with him in his bed to wake him up at some point for him to eat?

  • I'd wake him by 4 this afternoon. Have him sit up & watch a little TV. Try making him drink some fluids. Offer him some snacks he likes. Fluids are the most important. See if he runs a fever. If you wake him around 4 then he'll sleep better through the night.

  • Let him rest today, his body is trying to fight something off. Then call his Dr. tomorrow morning & get him in there.
