can you wean one breast?

and not the other? till the cut on the other one heals will milk produce again?

  • Yes,you can.I have done this before,just make sure that while your healing you express some milk out of that breast.Even if it's just a little,because this way your breast will continue to produce the extra milk.When your breast fills to engorgement-don't forget to take hot showers for relief.This too is a way of expressing your milk.

  • Make sure you pump it with every feeding session so you continue to produce milk.

  • Make sure you still express some milk from that breast, either by hand or with a pump. Otherwise you will get engorged and that can cause a clogged milk duct and mastitis. Good luck.
