Getting married...?

Would you get married to your SO just so you could go on his medical ( and you eventually planned on getting marrued anyways)

  • Depends, were you getting married anyways? If so then it wouldn't be a big deal IMHO. Marraige isn't about a ceremony, time, or place. It's about love. And if necessity comes with that love that's fine... but don't marry BECAUSE of a necessity. Then it would be wrong.

  • No, but believe me I can understand the urge too. I think it would just be something that could come up in the future and bite you.

  • Marriage is a committment for life. It means you want to spend the rest of your lives together. If you are sure this is the man that you want to grow old with, if you have discussed important issues such as how you feel about spending and saving money, how you feel about having children and raising them and educating them, how you feel about your extended families- your parents, sisters and brothers and so forth and what if they need special care. religion, goals, then you are ready to marry.
