How can i keep a 4 to 5 month old baby calm while flying in air plain?

hello im really excited bout our trip to see familly but this my first flight on a plain so im kinda scared lol and first time for baby to be on plain also i no to feed while taking off and a binky for sucking to help pressure for his little ears any advise on staying calm and keeping baby calm in the process any advice would be great im just nervous thanks yall

  • Some mom's feed, binky and dose with benadryl or similar med for long flights. your ped should be able to help

  • I agree with feral, ask your ped for any recommendations. It's possible that he will sleep the entire time. The good thing is that the noise is sort of like a white noise. As long as you keep his ears clear it shouldn't be too much of a worry. How long is the flight?

  • He's pretty young, so he may nap throughout the flight. If you're calm, he's going to pick up on the soothing energy. So do what it takes for you to be relaxed.

  • Ask her doctor & yes, bring a pacifier (or 2 or 3).

  • The most upsetting times are takeoff and landing due to pressure changes. So feeding baby or having baby suck on a pacifier during those times can make all the difference in the world.
