  • Oh I don't know. Maybe for things like to avoid heart attacks, diabetes, blood clots, death. Things like that.

  • You want to keep your body fueled throughout the day, keep you blood sugar even, and keep from starving. They don't have to be vegan to be healthy.

  • Hi Bridget,

    Well many of us avoid snacks because there is something at the back of our minds telling us that it is not healthy, or our parents cautioning us to stop having too much of it.

    But if the right food is given at the right time, snacks can play an important role in providing much needed nutrition. A well-timed snack can reduce hunger pangs and give the right energy boost between each meal which is important for our health. You must choose low sodium snacks and snacks that contain whole grains and proteins too.
