Ewwww! dont open if you have a weak stomach adult content

so im all over the place trying to clean this morning, i had my patio door open because i was in and out of it. well, the patio is screened in and thats where i keep the cats' litterbox & food. the puppy has been out there several times and usually just sniffs around and steals a few sips of their water. well today i noticed he was chewing on something, from afar i thought it was one of his bones. i got closer and it was a big clump of cat poop! GROSS!!!! what is the typical protocol for this, especially when you have kids? i dont want him sniffing/licking them after he just had cat feces in his mouth & near his nose. and is he going to get really ill? should i call the vet?

  • Everyone will be fine. This is not uncommon dog behavior. It is also the reason I don't let any dog lick me.
