Yes a doctor's appt has been scheduled but has anybody else had this issue?

A good friend of mine has had two somewhat faint but for sure positive home pregnancy tests from two different brands. Went into the doctor and took a urine test there and they said it was negative told her she's not pregnant. The second positive happened after the doctor said she wasn't pregnant and came with dark brown spotting.

She has PCOS so she hasn't had a period since LAST March and also because of the PCOS she is quite obese. Could either of those be why this is happening? Just wondering if anybody else has seen this happen before?

She's scheduled with the OB/GYN tomorrow and will insist on a blood test and on an ultrasound if this does not get cleared up.

  • PCOS should not result in a positive pregnancy test. I'd have her stick to her original decision on the blood test.
