Birthday gift ideas for a four-year-old boy?

My daughter's cousin is turning four next weekend. She's invited to his Totally Turtles birthday party. I know he's into Ninja Turtles, but I'd rather get him something non-combative if I can. What do you all think are some good gift ideas?

  • An age appropriate board game. Candy Land maybe? Or outdoor toys since the summer is coming up! Sidewalk chalk, or balls and remote control cars.

  • Legos or Duplos or something to do outside like the others have suggested.

  • Legos! They're a definite favorite with my 4 yo. A ball - soccer ball or basketball.

  • I was going to say Legos too, but the girls have it covered already. I have three boys, and when they were little Legos were always a big hit. Legos and Thomas the Tank Engine.
