Just wondering...........any brand of frozen pot pies decent these days?

I don't buy them, but just heard a commercial for them and remembered my mom used to get them once in awhile. Do any of you buy them and recommend?

  • Marie Collander's has the best pot pies, my mom used to get those Banquet ones with the gross rubber turkey. I make my own now, when we have pot pies.

  • I don't like them at all... but my DH love the Willow Tree brand. I just made it tonight too as a matter of fact.

  • Marie Callender's beef is the best. I'm not a fan of the turkey. They are expensive though.

  • I really like Marie Callender's. My stepson likes Banquet, but I only eat those if I'm starving and nothing else is handy.

  • i agree- marie calender's is THEE best! admittedly i bought 4 banquet ones today because they were on sale =/ but the best ive ever had is homemade and so simple. mix together cream of potato with frozen veggies and your favorite seasonings, then add a can of swanson shredded chicken (or shred your own cooked chicken if you dont do the canned meat thing) and dump it all into a pie pan. make your biscuit recipe and spread it over the chicken mixture, pop in the oven til biscuit topping is golden brown.

  • Homemade is easy, but if you just want quick, Amy's are good. There's an awesome broccoli one.
