Dry Scalp(also posted in general parenting)

My son has natural curly, course hair. He is always asking us to scratch it. We thought his hair was too dry(which it is) and gave him a military cut. Same problem. There is no flaking,or any signs of distress. What can I do?

  • Maybe scratching his head just feels good. Or maybe he is developing sensory issues. Or has a dietary deficiency. Or just likes his head scratched.

  • Are you sure it's not lice?

  • I don't know if it will help or not, but it probably won't hurt anything--my aunts always told me that brushing your hair at bedtime each night for a few minutes would lead to healthier hair and less itchiness in the morning. I do it for myself because it feels good.
