How do you do a kegel!?

I was talking to my mom and she was like yeah I can do those no problem

but when I do them I shut my vagina closed like it's world war 3, I shut it SO tight. Are you just supposed to squeeze gently? I lose air when I do them because I do it as hard as I can.

Am I doing it wrong?!

Well have sex with your husband and tell him what does he think, then do it. If he suddenly just falls over in agony, and may be missing a certain part of his anatomy, you are probably doing it wrong! :)

This is kind of gross, but bear with me. I didn't do Kegals right for a long time because I didn't understand the instructions. I could stop my urine flow, but I wasn't using the correct muscles. The physical therapist I've been seeing to try and make sex not hurt so miserably told me the way you know if you're doing a Kegal right is you pretend to try and hold back a fart as hard as you can. Like you're sittig in church a your sister's wedding during the vows holding back. That will contract the proper muscles to strengthen your vaginal floor.
