Uh oh! Ballad's watching Discovery again ...

Did you ever wonder why we have 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day? It's because one of the very earliest human civilizations, the Sumerians, had a numerical system based on the number twelve, unlike ours, which is based on ten. So we got time interval measurements based on multiples of twelves. Who knew?
