It would depend on the costs of both and what your current insurance covers. Compare the costs associated with both plans and what is and isn't covered and if you are still confused then consult someone in your area that understands the fine print in medical and dental insurance.

I'm a little confused who this insurance is for.....you alone or for your kids too? But regardless, if you do not have a lot of dental problems you might go with the health insurance only. We do not have a lot of dental problems so we pay for the twice yearly cleaning and checkup out of pocket. If you have a lot of dental problems then dental insurance might be worthwhile. As for adult kids, they should look for jobs that have benefits and deal with their own insurance. I believe students can be on their parent's policy until their mid twenties, but you would need to double check that.
