If you stopped doing laundry ...

How long would it be till your kids ran out of clean clothes?

Mine has maybe three weeks' worth. I wondered because a friend of mine is always going on about how we should buy her more clothes a the thrift store, but I think she's got plenty, with the exception of dresses because she's grown out of most of hers.

  • A wk for jeans because they wear out their jeans too quickly and/or outgrow their jeans, our budget can barely keep up with their wardrobe needs. My younger two have lots of clothes thanks to hand me downs so they could go for 2 or 3 wks. If I waited that long, though, I'd never get caught back up.

  • About two weeks, and that is based on underwear only. They have tons of everything else, but of course they have favorites they would miss. I'm in the same boat, so I guess I'll just keep on doing the laundry. :)

  • He'd go through pants in about 10 days, unless he could wear shorts. Then yeah I'd say about 3 weeks.

  • It would be a long time. My kids have a ridiculous amount of clothes.

  • Not even a week! We go through so many clothes with DD always burping up on them or DD/DS spilling things on them. We go through 2-3 outfits per kid every day!!!!

  • DS can barely make it a week, but thats cause he's only almost 2 so he goes thru a lot of clothes. plus, since he's still growing so fast i dont buy him much.

DD could make it a good month if the weather was decent. she has a butt-load of clothes thanks to my mom who buys her new clothes all the time.

  • 2 weeks due to underwear, but probably 3 1/2-4 for just clothes. But I would never let it pile up because catching up would be torture!
