How do you make corned beef?

I've never had it except in hash at cafes. How do you cook it and what do you serve with it?

  • I don't. I think it's gross. My husband made it one time. He used a pre-marinated piece of meat from I think Costco.

  • I cook it in the crock pot with oranges, red onion, and Guinness.

  • There are some recipes online. I have known a few people that have made this one and had good results.

    I usually just do the ones from the store.

  • In the crockpot, cook it all day on low. I add onions and garlic.

  • we buy ours pre-corned at the store. then DH has a special giant pot that he puts it in w/ cabbage, potatoes, & sausages (for me cause i dont like corned beef). he also adds ham stock which comes in a tiny little jar and smells awful.

  • Get a crock pot, fill it with some water. Put the corned beef and seasoning pack in and let it cook tel the meat is falling apart. Then take the liquid and put cabbage with it. Cook it tell it is done.

  • I pressure cook it for about 30-45 mins.. Halfway through though, I add carrots, potatoes, and cabbage. So easy.
