  • Someone who beats her children, or leaves them for long periods and neglects them, or tries to sell them on Facebook, she could probably be called a bad mother. Someone who doesn't agree with your parenting choices but doesn't abuse or neglect her kids isn't a bad mother.

  • If they are abusive - meaning they engage in behavior for which they can be criminally convicted, yes. If they disagree with your parenting choices, no.

  • Well, I don't see the point of labeling people that way. There are ways to stand for people & values, and ways to take a stand against harmful practices & behaviors, without resorting to that sort of judgment. I wouldn't judge someone for doing so, and I know they simply are identifying with the victim(s) and conveying their horror/outrage/disgust about very upsetting behaviors or lapses, but labeling people as "bad" is something I do avoid. Some situations are really tragic but I don't think blame is the answer.

  • Bad decisions, & bad parenting are two different things. In certain situations then yes, I think it's ok. My neighbor keeps popping out kids. She has her 10 y/o daughter do EVERYTHING from cooking, cleaning, diapering, bathing, etc. And even decided to home school her so she'd be around to "help" more. All the mother does is sit on the couch & scream & yell & get preggers. She has no curtains in her house so I can see her sitting there & hear her yelling when I'm outside. She never moves! C.S has been out numerous times, but somehow she always find out about it ahead of time & has her daughter get everything taken care of, & then acts like the "perfect" mom when they show up... In my opinion she's a bad mother.....

  • Lol Crafty. You make me laugh.

Do what you want, but it is better to stay in front of your own mirror. If kids are in danger, then you can get help to protect them otherwise leave it alone.
