Any ideas about why this keeps happening?

our truck broke down AGAIN!!! hubby thinks its the starter AGAIN! since oct this will be the 8th, yea you heard right 8th starter he has replaced on this truck! he wants to toss a stick of TNT under it. he is so mad right now! we don't have enough money to get a new set of wheels.

back to the question: anyone have any ideas of why this keeps happening? oh we're running a diesel truck if it helps

  • I don't know where you are from but around Miami, when I take my car to get fixed and a started gets changed, it has at least some warranty, is it breaking the day after the warranty runs out???or is hubby doing it himself?

  • had a brand new truck, not diesel
and it did not start numerous times in winter (few years back)
the dealer replaced the battery at least four times, replaced the started , replaced battery again
i finally sued under lemon law, got 9 grand and keep the truck
it did not happen after that (why it happened? have zero idea)
asked dealer what they thought was the final reason, they said bad battery it happens... i said five times!!?
soon after got divorced he got truck, so do not know if the truck lasted

    wish i was more help

  • That averages out to 2 a month. It's not the starter. Try this site.
