My last tip to Sally's (acrylic nails)

I described this device and asked if they carried it:

You use it to make your acrylic nails look like this

the silly girl behind the counter tried to sale me these:

hmmm, metal form with scoops out of it to scrape acrylic/ paper paint forms
Exact same things- aren't they?

  • Okay- I got a license to do nails and I'm trying to figure out what that is for...
is it for when you want to soak them off so you can scrape the acrylic?

  • I've discovered that they're, for the most part, clueless there. You have better chances at an Ulta, since most have an attached salon.

  • *also, the people at Sallys- don't need licenses to work there (I think they used to- but not anymore)

  • In the boonies we dont have an Ulta :(
When the little gal offered the painting guides I just said, thanks and, "I am ready to pay now".
She got miffed and behaved so badly her co-worker asked what I was looking for. I explained it again and she said, "I think those are only for pros".

Ok. Got home and went online. It should be here next week :)

  • I rarely "get" my nails done because, well, I am frugal. So i went this one time and what the girl did was apply the pink, scrape it off with the scoop and then have a perfect guide for the white. my nails were all symmetrical.
it is literally like the middle pic. all of your nails look b.e.a.utiful with no guess work or "close enough"
