i was not wearing 'her' coat
when she saw me, first thing she said with a disgusted look on her face "why are you not wearing the coat", is it too big?"
i said " no it fits, and it was very sweet of you, but i would feel better, if i paid you for it"
she was in a hurry to get her other kid
so it was rushed, she said "no, you need it" and i said " i can afford to buy myself a coat" " i want to give you the money for it"
and she said " well, maybe half"
i said, "no"
she said "we will talk later"
i agreed, said "we will talk on monday"
if you give a gift of clothing to a friend........
do you get mad if the person is not wearing it the next day, call attention in front of others to fact it is not worn, and then negotiate possible excepting of half the cost
strange strange strange
this was not a gift for a new friend, this was a charity thing gone wrong
i can buy myself a coat, i just have other priorities, and a strange sense of clothing, i like vintage, and love not looking like all the rest
* forgot camera-dang!, but before it got really crowded, 7 out of 8 were black down coats, and when area totally full, MORE THAN 90 % were down coats in neutral tone (black, a few navy/purplish, and three cream colors.... i think cream down coats will be the new "uniform" as April approaches...as no one wore cream colored down coats last week)
