  • Yeah, because someone addicted to tar and all the other additives in cigarettes is going to quit because they can't see them. Brilliant!

  • "I didn't smoke because the cigarettes were hidden behind a curtain," said no person, ever.

Bloomberg is a wacko. I didn't like him when I lived there, and I like him even less now.

  • on the flip side, how many ppl have ever thought "well i dont normally smoke but since i can see them sitting there, i think i'll buy a pack and take up one of the worst and most deadly habits available."

and young ppl cant legally buy cigarettes, so what does it matter if they can see them? if they want to smoke its probably b/c their parents, family, friends smoke, not cause they can see them.

  • How tall is Bloomberg? Does he have a Napoleon complex? Next, he will outlaw tall people. Seriously though, how is he getting away with this?

  • First off, I think most retailers I have seen do have them behind counters (or in those locked shelving units behind the counter) due to them being a high theft item.

I really am starting to wonder what the job description of the Mayor of NY is. I would think with the most populated city in our country he would have more important things to deal with than where cigarettes are stored / displayed and what size soft drink you can purchase, and out of what kind of container (Styrofoam kills ya know). I'm starting to wonder where his ideal is leading.
