Is this the start of labour ?

I'm 37+5 days pregnant, and I woke up this morning feeling really sick and I still feel sick I woke up with what felt like period cramps but abit worse&my back was cramping bad,it's been happening for the last hour the belly pains come and go but the back pains stay feel like I have period cramps allover my belly & back& can't get of the toilet with diareeah sorry for the tmi! Sat on my ball to try and start the contractions properly and period cramps yet again and lower back cramps feels like when you need the toilet and get cramps but I don't need the toilet ? Hm..

  • sounds like you should call your OB/midwife. That's how it started for me.

  • If I were you I'd labor at home as long as possible. Once you get the the hospital you are then in bed and hooked up to lines and monitors and your level of comfort goes down tremendously.
    Take a shower, go for a walk, clean the kitchen, get baby's stuff all ready for him/her. You have TIME before it's time. Just pause through the contractions and keep right on about your day

  • Best of luck to you! I was told to stay home till the contractions were coming about five minutes apart. The longer you can be in your own comfortable environment, the better.
