When making flannel burp cloths

Do you put an absorbent layer of fabric between the two layers of flannel? I made some already with cloth diapers and flannel, but I have extra flannel and figured I could make a few more just out of the flannel just to get rid of it.

  • I want to see! Sounds cute!

I only had a couple absorbent burp cloths. Seems most of them were just the fabric.

  • I only used the flannel layers myself.

  • It's not really necessary. I don't sew but how about using the extra flannel to make a small car seat blanket. You could just take a scissor to the edge of the flannel & make a cut trim on two sides.

  • How many layers would you use, Dardenella?

  • Interesting thought with the car seat blanket. I will have to look into that.

  • Here they are.  I have more of all three flannels.  I also have some brown that I could use on the back side of them if need be.  I have tons of the Robin's egg blue flannel.
