What middle name would you use?

Adelaidyn is going to be her first name.

We were thinking of:

Grace
Marie
Tinsley
Nicree

Or is there another one you think...

  • Grace, Nice and Normal so when she doesn't want to go by that doozie of a first name she has a nice middle name to fall back on. I'm sorry, but I am not even sure if I am pronouncing that right.

  • I wouldn't have "laid" in the middle of her name. Find a new spelling
    Grace I suppose

  • If you have to saddle your child with that name, why not use it as a middle name? That way she won't have to spend her life explaining it away.

  • That's unique. I've never heard of the name Adelaidyn before. Marie or Nicree go well with it, maybe. What's your last name?

  • Well, I stumbled for a moment when I first saw it, but I assumed you were working with Adelaide. (Which is a name I know pretty well, knowing a few elderly women named Adelaide.) I thought maybe you were adapting the name that way to honor an Aiden in the family.

As far as spelling, if you went with Adelaiden it would be closer to Adelaide, just one more letter. I guess the "yn" option feminizes it a bit. Not sure which is easier.

I think Grace works well with it. So does Marie. I would stick with one of those two, of the four options you mentioned.

As far as other suggestions, maybe

    Louise
    May
    Jean
    Susanna
    Jane
    Caroline

If you really like Grace, that's probably your best bet, though.

Do you and/or your husband like "Addie" as a nickname?
There are lots of nickname possibilities. Like Ade/Aid (a nickname some people use with Adriana.) Del, or Della? Or even Lane? Lainie/La
