My poor 4 yr old is sick. what can i give him? adult content

waiting for his dr to call back but in the mean time thought i would ask you all. He is throwing up. and has been since 12:50. he is also pooping liquid green. i gave him water and it didnt even stay down for 2 mins.

  • oh poor thing! have you tried crackers? Toast? bananas? Do the BRAT diet. Maybe get him some pedilight as well.

  • Popsicles and water are what's best for him. If you give him water, do it by the spoon full. Even if he throws it back up, getting it down for a little bit will help absorb something and dehydration should be your biggest concern right now. I wouldn't try to give him anything to stop the vomiting.

  • 7Up is my go to. sip and nibble soda crackers.
    The big thing is to keep him drinking whether it stays down or not. Some will be absorbed and help to keep him hydrated. a popcicle might also help

  • Small sips of peppermint or ginger tea to help calm the stomach. Once he's stopped vomiting I would try some crackers or dry toast.

  • Give him something that has electrolytes in it like pedialyte instead of plain water
