How often do you experiment with good results?

Looked at a ton of stuffed pepper recipes this week to come up with my own mix. Turned out awesome (so awesome I was close to an Aliens alien out of the stomach moment).

Thanks for all the suggestions, btw.

  • I would say my nailed-it rate on experimenting with recipes is about eighty percent, and most of the rest are at least okay. I've had a few major bombs, though.

What did you put in your stuffed peppers?

  • I usually experiment because I'm usually out of one ingredient or another, or I have something I need to use up. For instance, today, I put some chicken in the crock pot. I was looking for a sauce for it and then realized I had leftovers from a can of peaches in the fridge. I dumped that in there too. It wasn't bad.

  • sausage and beef mixed, garlic, onion, mushroom, basil, breadcrumbs, then melted fresh mozarella on top when they were almost done

  • Most of the time it comes out good but I when I do fail it's pretty darn bad.

  • Usually pretty good. Sometimes it's better than the original, sometimes it's just okay. I've never had one that was just flat nasty. I recently tried adding spinach to my grilled chicken alfredo.

    Friggin' fantastic.

  • I would say about 90% of the time I have good results.
