  • I guess, given the choices, I'd take Soren over Gustafer. Is Micheal a different spelling for "Michael," or is it a different name? It just looked to me like a misspelling.

  • Not a fan of either, but I think I'd pick Gustafer James of the two.

  • I really like Soren!

While I love the name/nickname Gus (and considered it for a boy name) I am not crazy about the name Gustafer. I considered August, Augustus, Gustav, Gaspar, and using surnames like Gustafson or Algus. Ultimately, the name Gus didn't go well with our surname so I dropped it from consideration.

So, as much as I like Gus, I don't like Gustafer (thought it sounded made up, so I just googled to see. It turned up the made-up character Gustafer Yellowgold) and I vote for Soren.
