Ideas for a two year old's birthday

we decided that this year we're taking the girls out just to have a special day with us this year instead of paying for a party.
the four year old decided she wants to go to sweet and sassy to get a make over

i have no idea what to do with the two year old. we were going to try and keep it fairly inexpensive due to the fact that she won't really remember this birthday yet. it can't be anything too physical or far away because baby brother is due any minute now/or i'll be recovering a little still.

what's fun and special for a two year old girl to do?

  • I think the zoo or an aquarium would be fun if you have either close by. If not just a picnic at the playground would be fun - maybe a "tea party" (you can usually get a cheap set at the $ store) with small cut up sandwiches and fruit.

  • Dp you have a Build A Bear near you? Build a Bear and lunch or dinner out, I LOVE the children's museum idea from AllAbout Keeley, children's museums are cheap and hands on.

  • I do not know what the weather is like by you, but if it is nice you could have a picnic at a playground. Or if it is not do you guys have an indoor play area close by? you could do one of those.

  • If the weather is nice, parks are fun, or hands on museums
