Those of you suffering from IBS, what one product or diet helped relieve your symptoms?

After months and months of testing to rule out Crohns, Colitis, celiac etc my doctor believes I have IBS. I've been suffering with horrible episodes of severe stomach pain followed by hours of diarrhea for over two years now and nothing has helped. I found a website online and book called the IBS diet which recommends no red meat, dairy etc all of which are triggers for me. I am going to try it as well as taking probiotics. I have to say I am pretty depressed knowing that I may never be able to eat what i WANT and WHEN i want ever again without suffering the consequences. Anyway anyone found any medicines, supplements or a diet that has significantly reduced their IBS symptoms?

  • Stay as far away as you can from nuts, popcorn, corn and potato chips.
    Yogurt works wonder as well as probiotics.

    Cut back on coffee and drink tea as well.
