Activities for my 6 year old while I lie sick as a dog on the couch?

I feel like complete crap and just wanna lay on the couch, but my son is bored. What can I have him do that will keep him busy for a while so I can relax?

  • Can he play in the backyard?
How about a puzzle? Or a movie? Coloring book? Maybe have him make a card for grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncles, etc, etc that he could mail to them to say hi and happy spring

  • When my kids say they are bored I tell them to go clean something!! Works every time... they go find something to do. Tell him to go play with his toys, put on a movie... at 6 they should be able to find something to do if need be.

  • Have him help take car of you by making you toast, or something else that is easy. Let him read you a story. It will make him happy to help you feel better. Hope you're better, soon :)

  • Cartoons, coloring. A movie. Kids need to know it is not all about them all the time. Mommies get  sick too.  So go sit and watch TV and be a good boy.

  • Does he have a doctor kit?
That's what I used to do when I was sick. My son would give me fake shots, band aids, feel my forehead, etc.
It actually made me feel better!
