What are your answered prayers?

Just curious if anyone else has had their prayers answered in unexpected ways.

  • All of my prayers have been answers and sometimes not the way I expected... It's just that sometimes the answer was 'no' or 'not right now' :0)

  • I guess the most recent one would have been to get into the program I am in now but I wouldn't say it was an answered prayer so much as I worked my butt off to obtain the grades and meet the goals required of me in order to obtain that position.

  • Hands down, the biggest answered prayer of my life was that I had my daughter at age 36, after eight years of fertility treatments with my ex and finally giving up. I'd been told to move on and find something else to do with my life because I'd never conceive and carry to term, and I felt that I had accepted that. Then I was surprised by joy. I got a chance to participate in the miracle of ongoing Creation with Almighty God, and I thank Him every day for the incredible gift I received.

  • Yes, how I came upon the house I live in now was probably the most in-your-face answer to my prayers. You could see G-d pulling the strings all along.
I've also had several obvious "no" answers to my prayers. That's OK too
