When does the OBGYN look inside of your vagina?

I am 32 weeks the DR still has not given me an internal exam,,is this normal?

  • Mine did it at the very beginning of my pregnancy then he didn't do any more until the weekly visits

  • My dr. didn't start internals until 36 weeks to check for dilation. If you think you may be having contractions, just ask and they'll check out your "stuff". Good luck with your new bundle!!

  • Well, she gave me a pap and vaginal u/s at my very first pre-natal visit. Then, she started at 35 weeks.

  • You will not or should not have an internal until about the 36 wk sometimes sooner. The doctor is checking to see if the baby has dropped or if the cervix is soften lots of things. lol!! Talk to your dr they will explain for you!
