Whatcha all think?

My daughter got some window markers for her birthday. Dad promptly drew a fish on the window. She decided a few days later she wanted it colored in. So she and I colored it in. Well, she got sad when we said it would, eventually, have to be washed off. So Dad drew another, larger one on her wall that I just finished painting:

  • I'm now waiting for the paint to dry and for Dad to get home. I think I'm going to have him go around it with a Sharpie to define it a bit more. I'm also considering using some white paint to remark the lines on the bottom fin.

It took me about 2 hours to paint it. It's a good 2 feet from tail to eye. I did it all with a 1 inch paint brush too. BOY that took a LOT of focus and concentration. I wanted it to look good for her. She was SHOCKED when she saw it; just stopped dead in the middle of her room staring at it.

  • That's cool you found a way to accommodate your daughter's wish to keep the picture.

Never heard of window markers. Do they wash? Do they make a big mess, or can they be done nicely by small children? My daughter would love drawing on the windows.
