  • Nope. Never had one of those. Sorry.

  • I had one a few years ago. They're a bit painful but not extremely. I was told to take a couple Tylenol about 30 minutes before my appointment, and I spotted the rest of the day a bit but I had no lasting problems. It just feels like getting pinched hard during a regular pap and its over very quickly.

  • Some pinching and cramping, bleeding like a period.

  • Like a pap test times 10. The nurse may hold your hand for the pinch part.
Take a panty liner with you.
No sex the day before or for 3 days after.

  • Good luck. I hope it's over quickly and easily.

  • PGA, already blew the "sex the day before" part, but my Dr did not give me that directive and I specifically called today to find out if there was anything that I needed to know. I did some research today and it only managed to freak me out more

  • I had one twenty years or so ago. I remember the pinch being pretty intense, but it was over by the time I gulped in a breath of air to curse, so I didn't have to say a word. Good luck!

  • I was scheduled for one three years ago. My insurance dropped me a week before the appointment. When I got back insured my lap was normal and I didn't need one.

Let us know how it goes! Honestly they should give you a painkiller! I googled the crap out of it and was terrified too.
